I’d been taught to believe He and His followers did not like Jewish People and that many atrocities had been committed against us Jews in His name.
John had carried a deep burden for the Jewish People from the time he was a young child in Northern Ireland. When he’d watch news stories about events in the Middle East, he was filled with longing to offer comfort and care to those living in Israel. “I must get over there somehow,” he said.

July 2015-- When the Arab nations invaded Israel in 1948, they instructed Palestinians living in the newly created Jewish state to flee their homes to neighboring countries. Most expected Israel to be quickly defeated. “You’ll be home in a week,” many were told.
