Giving Tuesday

November 24, 2016

Giving Tuesday is a global movement celebrating giving. It takes place the Tuesday after Thanksgiving (U.S.) and follows the two busiest shopping days of the year – Black Friday and Cyber Monday – with a day of charitable giving.

Give Clean Water - Change a Life

Waterborne illnesses have a devastating effect in the impoverished Jewish communities we serve in Ethiopia, Zimbabwe, and elsewhere. Contaminated water is often the only kind available, and people live with chronic sickness and even die because of it.

But, for just $15 you can provide clean water to one person through a personal water filtration device called a LifeStraw®. Each LifeStraw® provides 4000 liters of clean, life-changing drinking water.

Whose Life Will You Change?

For just $15 you can change a person’s life by giving them clean water. Who will get the LifeStraw® you’ll provide? Whose life will you change?

  • A single mother whose little ones depend on her for their survival?
  • A child who doesn’t understand why her tummy hurts?
  • A father who is sick too often to keep a job that will provide for his family?

While we can’t know who will receive the LifeStraw® gift you give, God does¾and He’ll know who you mean when you pray for them.

How many lives will you change this Giving Tuesday?
